24U SimpleFile Plug-In is distributed as shareware. This means that it is NOT a free product. You may try 24U SimpleFile Plug-In out for 14 days. After that time, you should buy a license, or stop using it.
Paying for 24U SimpleFile Plug-In is fairly simple. You can easily purchase a license on-line through the 24U Software website, or directly from within the product's registration dialog.
To purchase a license from within the plug-in's registration dialog, just click on the Purchase button and follow the on-screen instructions. To purchase a license online, go to the plug-in's home page at 24U SimpleFile Plug-In, scroll to the buying options, select your license, and click on the Buy button.
Do you hesitate which type of license suits best your needs? Never mind, we are glad to help you choose the most suitable variant. You don't have to buy an overcharged license. Just choose the right license below:
Purchasing an end user license will give you or your company a lifetime right to use a single version of 24U SimpleFile Plug-In. It does not allow you to sublicense 24U SimpleFile Plug-In to other parties, and you have to pay for major feature upgrades if you want them.
Volume discounts are available to make our products lucrative for mid-size and large networks. The more users you have the lower will be your price per user.
If you are an in-house developer (you and your end-users are employees of the same company) or develop for only one customer (possibly together with other developers), then end user license is the option for you.
Developer licenses are intended for independent solution developers. If you develop shrink wrap solutions or custom solutions for several customers, a developer license will let you sublicense 24U SimpleFile Plug-In to your customers without additional charges. In many cases, you will pay less for a developer license than your customer would pay for an end user license, which makes it beneficial for your customers to order solutions from you rather than developing them in-house.
Important: Using a developer license registration code may cause a splash dialog to appear on the screen for 2 seconds. The splash helps you to comply with our License Agreement without having to design your own about screen. If you don't want your solution to show the splash dialog, send us samples of your about screen and license agreement to registration@24uSoftware.com. We will send you instructions for disabling the splash as soon as your solution is proven to comply with the developer license's sublicensing conditions.
Server licenses are especially intended for using 24U plug-ins with FileMaker Server Advanced for web clients. Server license is available for plug-ins that can be used with web publishing. This license can be purchased for a flat fee per server with no limit on the number of web users accessing the server. Unlike end-user license, server license does not allow you to install 24U plug-ins on client computers (with FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Pro Advanced).
We offer special prices for education and non-profit organizations. If you want to purchase our products for an education or non-profit organization, look for items marked as EDU. Please contact our sales department at sales@24uSoftware.com to ask about other special discounts.
Just paste the registration code to the registration dialog when it appears and click to "Register" button. Your registration will be stored to the user's preferences and the dialog will not appear again.
If you need to automate installation of 24U SimpleFile Plug-In to multiple users using the FileMaker Server's AutoUpdate feature, you can use the same process as described below for developer licenses.
The registration dialog will not accept registration codes with developer licenses. You must register the product using designated function. 24U SimpleFile Plug-In is equipped with the SFile_Register function that can be used to register the product with a registration code programmatically. To register 24U SimpleFile Plug-In with your developer registration code, pass the registration code as a parameter to this function and call it (ideally from within your Open script) before using any other SimpleFile function.
Developer registration is not stored to the user's preferences. The registration function must be called every time the product starts.
To register server product put your registration codes to the file named 24uServerReg.txt. The file must be raw text file. One registration code to each line. If you have only one, just place the code to the file and save. Move the file to this directory:
/Library/Preferences/ (on Mac OS X)
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\24U (on Windows XP)
C:\ProgramData\24U (on Windows Vista or 7)
The plug-in must be reloaded afterwards. You can restart FM Server or Web Publishing engine or just unload and load the plug-in in Administrator Console.
