1. Introduction

24U Plug-In AutoInstaller is a FileMaker solution add-in module which removes pain from using plug-ins in a multi-user environment. It will simplify installation, registration, and updates of all the plug-ins you use in your multi-user FileMaker solutions.

       

2. System requirements

Recommended configuration:

  Client: FileMaker Pro 6.0v4 or FileMaker Developer 6.0v4; Windows XP or Mac OS X 10.2.8
  Server: FileMaker Server 5.5 running on Windows 2000 Server
 

Minimum requirements:

  Client: FileMaker Pro 5.5 or FileMaker Developer 5.5; Windows 95 or Mac OS 8.1
  Server: FileMaker Server 5.5 on Windows 2000 Server or Mac OS X
 

3. Installation

To install 24U Plug-In AutoInstaller, follow these easy steps:

1. If you did not do this yet, download and expand the 24U Plug-In AutoInstaller archive.
   
2. Open the expanded 24U Plug-In AutoInstaller folder.
   
3. Copy the "24uPlugInInstall.fp5" file to your solution's folder on your FileMaker Server computer.
   
4. Copy contents of the "AutoUpdate" folder to your FileMaker Server's "AutoUpdate" folder.
   

4. Quick Start

24U Plug-In AutoInstaller is designed to be very easy to use. Simply open the "24uPlugInInstall.fp5" file and follow the instructions on the "Introduction" layout.

If you are new to FileMaker plug-ins, start by checking the UsingFMPlugIns.html file. It briefly explains what plug-ins are, why they are useful, and how they are usually used. You can also find the most up-to-date version of this document at http://www.24uSoftware.com/support/UsingPlugins.
